Henllys Bog

As the name implies Henllys Bog is a small wetland area of about two acres or one hectare.

There are some eighty five plant species recorded in this area including Sundew, Marsh Helleborine and other varieties of orchids. The best time to visit this Site of Special Scientific Interest ( SSSI ) is from April to July.
Henllys Bog

The bog is by Pandy Mawr Farm where you can park and walk down the access road.
To get to this farm you drive past the old Henllys village school, now a private nursery, and up the mountain via a “no through road”. Turn sharp left and go down a long lane past Pensarn Farm and down a small valley, branching right up to the farm.

The grid reference is ST 264927 on an Ordinance Survey map.
